Pina Colada
The option for when you are in denial about the quickly approaching Christmas season and would rather be on a beach relaxing is Steeped Tea's Pina Colada. A rooibos tea mixed with pineapple and coconut chunks and a little extra natural flavouring.
On a blind scent test I doubt anyone would be able to tell the difference between an actual frosty, beach-ready pina colada and this loose tea. That's where the similarities start and unfortunately also where they end.
But don't get me wrong, the tea is good. You do get an undercurrent of the pineapple and coconut flavours but it just isn’t anything to write home about. If the infuser was packed with more fruit chunks the tea would be a lot more flavourful but unfortunately they are dispersed sparsely throughout the blend and the majority of the flavour stems from the rooibos tea itself.
It is not a tea I would immediately repurchase, but it is sweet and does have an undercurrent of sweet and fresh
tropical flavours, although you might have to use more loose tea than you're used to. If you are looking for a nice iced tea option this might work well, especially for lounging around during the summer.
